We are looking for an Assistant Controller to work for our Chicago client. The ideal candidate will align with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities:
Proactively serve as a strategic business partner and advisor from a financial perspective to the organization, including the executive team
Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization related to long-term organizational goals, budgets and forecasts
Responsible for the construction of semi-annual budget and revision processes
Review, design, and implement accounting procedures and internal controls by analyzing current procedures and controls; recommending changes
Train, develop, hire, and retain accounting team
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of accounting experience
Ability to develop and lead a high-performing work team
Ability to think strategically and translate strategies to operational activities
Highly organized & detail-oriented
