The Art Director leads the development and execution of the visual style for brand and marketing initiatives across both print and digital platforms, owned media channels for all company branches, and retail products. The Art Director manages the team that develops day-to-day assets to bring that vision to life.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead the artistic development of branding, marketing and promotional pieces, including print, online, and mobile; collateral materials; and internal and external communications.
• Supervise a team of graphic designers, illustrators, and creative freelancers.
• Contribute to Product Development Team by leading artistic development of all custom retail products and influencing production selection.
• Conceptualize and develop visual themes for other initiatives as needed (events, training programs, digital platforms, etc.).
• Provide leadership to asset management systems and processes.
• Collaborate with video team, providing art direction for motion graphic needs.
• Contribute new ideas to the overall look and feel of the brand’s constant evolution while maintaining a consistent image.
• Give art direction to campaign photography shoots.
• Collaborate with key partners (communications team, video team, etc.). Work with Project Managers to field and prioritize project requests and develop estimate specifications for all print projects.
  
  

Prerequisites

• Ability to work collaboratively across the organization
• Subject matter expert in design trends and conversant in the Bible content landscape
• Superior knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Strong knowledge of web design best practices
• Positive, can-do attitude and the ability to adapt quickly to direct and constructive feedback as well as provide constructive feedback
• Ability to communicate effectively with others on workload issues and needs, the progress of work, and results
