Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:
Develops, enhances, tests, supports, maintains, and debugs web-based software applications that support business analytical and reporting requirements
Understand clients' applications requirements and identify key application features and functions
Provide strategic technical direction and design consideration for individual initiatives
Utilizes in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide superior user experience with reduced costs/efforts
Work with other team members and developers to design and structure requirements
Design creative prototypes based on specifications
Coordinates collaboration with external programming teams to deliver software on time and within budget
Perform unit and integration testing before launch
Troubleshoot applications, find bugs, and offer timely solutions
Requirements:
BS Computer Science degree or equivalent experience (10+ years)
6+ years Lead development
4+ years Financial/Banking experience
8+ years Web Application and web services development
8+ years in contemporary Java coding and design, including microservices
8+ years Angular development and application design
6+ years using Apache, Tomcat, etc.
5+ years of Agile Development processes
5+ years requirement gathering, analysis/design, and development tools/technologies
Experience working with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle PL/SQL)
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Core Java
Desired Skills:
4+ years in Spring Boot microservice runtime
Experience working with Build tools (JIRA, Bit Bucket, Maven, Git, Horizon, and Jenkins, or other containerized runtime environment)
5+ years interacting with the customers/business analysts in gathering requirements and independently able to design and deliver the system
Strong analytical mindset with proven technical analysis and research, problem-solving skills, and diagnostic ability
Experience working with teams in different locations, co-ordination of tasks
