ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER.

Duties

  • Providing administrative guidance and supervising in the area of finance and budget; supply and equipment acquisition; facilities management; safety, and human resources and payroll.
  • Day to day oversight of financial activities of the agency reserved to the Superintendent.
  • Organizing, planning, advising, and executing the agency functions of the fiscal management.
  • Performing advisory services as requested to the tribe in these functions and related matters.
  • Responsible for the oversight, guidance, and administrative support for the Agency Government Charge Card Program, QuickTime, and Government Travel Program at the agency.
  • Responsible for all inventory activities in Property Acquisitions, Management and Disposal.
  • Ensure Federal directives are carried out and goals and objectives are met.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Administrative and Management Positions, GS-0341)

GS-12: One (1) year of specialized experience* equivalent to the GS-11 grade level which involved serving as technical advisor to management on budget administration, human resources guidance, acquisition planning, property and supply management, records management, and general oversight and control of the administrative support activities. Providing administrative manager work primarily concerned with providing, securing or negotiating for the resources or services needed to manage and run an organization; work Involving management of both financial and human resources; and work involving management analysis, procurement, contract administration, property management, space management, security administration, reports management, data processing, and similar or closely related activities.

EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or. LL.M., if related.

  • SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the position to be filled.

One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.

The full performance level of this position is GS-12.

This is a supervisory position. Under provision of the Civil Service Reform Act, first-time supervisors are required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period before their appointment becomes final. Those who do not satisfactorily complete this probationary period will be returned to positions of no lower grade and pay than those they occupied before assuming their supervisory assignment.
