Position: Administrative Assistant (Part-Time, Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Charlotte, NC

Hours: 28 hours per week, On-Site

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to a ministry team. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of various ministry activities and events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage event logistics, including registrations, communications, room arrangements, and other administrative duties.
  • Distribute lesson plans and relevant information to leaders.
  • Send reminder emails, track attendance in Realm, and maintain a tracking spreadsheet.
  • Assist with diverse projects across different ministry areas as needed.
  • Attend and participate in weekly staff and facilities meetings.
  • Provide front desk phone support on a weekly basis.
  • Act as the secretary for meetings, including taking minutes and sending out reminders.
  • Handle RSVPs, setup for meetings, and related administrative tasks.
  • Contribute to the creation, editing, and proofreading of publications and weekly eblasts for events and classes.
  • Manage and update website content and contact lists as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree with at least three years of office experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with Realm is a plus.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Christian church programs and activities.
