DESCRIPTION: General Trading is looking for an energetic Accounts Payable Clerk The Accounts Payable Clerk processes all non-po invoices, as well as provide accounting and clerical support for the Accounting Department to ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively. They are responsible for payables, credit card reconciliation, daily reporting, as well as other functions in the Accounting Department. This position requires an individual who is detail oriented, organized and has overall good accounting skills.

Functions

• Process weekly payables in QuickBooks (e.g. utilities, agencies, etc.)
• Assist manager with month-end closing and other accounting items - journal entries, general ledger analysis, etc.
• Prepare daily reports for bank balances and incoming funds
• Back-up to weekly driver payroll person
• Assist with ACH payments from customer accounts
• Scan all receivable checks to the bank and prepare deposit for the bank
• Maintain corporate credit card activity
  
  

Requirements

• High School diploma is required, more education and experience is generally preferred
• 1 to 3 years experience in Accounting
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of MS Outlook and Excel
• Knowledge of QuickBooks a must
• Efficient, organized, flexible and dependable
