Accounting Clerk

Mountainside Fitness is hiring a full-time Accounting Clerk in our Accounting Department at the Corporate Headquarters in Scottsdale. This position will report to the Financial Controller. This is an in-person/ in-office position.

Although this position is heavily focused on Accounts Payable, we are looking for an individual who is familiar with various accounting functions. This is a very high transaction position that requires strong organizational skills and significant data entry responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Review, Verify, and Enter Invoices
• Process expense reports
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
• Draft transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
• Maintain vendor files
• Assist with month-end closing
• Perform data entry and other administrative duties as needed
  
  

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of the accounts payable process and basic knowledge of general accounting procedures
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to deal professionally with confidential information
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, emphasis on Excel
• Excellent employment references
  
  

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience:

• Previous experience in the accounting field
• Associate degree or higher in business or accounting
• Experience with Sage Intacct Accounting Software
• Experience with Sage Fixed Assets software
• Experience with ABC Financial or ABC Fitness software
