What We Seek

We are looking for a part time entry level Accounting Clerk (20 to 25 hrs) to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks.

You will need to have a self-driven, conscientious mentality with a commitment to creating innovations through high-quality work.

What Your Day Will Look Like

The Accounting Clerk provides accounting and clerical assistance to the Controller. This position keeps financial records updated, prepares reports, and reconciles bank statements. You will also run accounting software (Sage Intacct) to process business transactions like accounts payable and receivable. In general, you can expect to:

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
  • Provide accounting and operational support to company personnel
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Constantly update job knowledge

What You Bring

  • Aptitude for numbers with a strong desire to grow in knowledge and responsibility
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or similar field (preferred but not required)
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience (prior experience in a consulting firm is a plus!)
  • Strong Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables (bonus points if you know keyboard shortcuts)
