“I was introduced to Cory by our head of engineering as 'someone who really knows his stuff' regarding the equipping and managing an engineering team. Having recently stepped into a head of product role that oversees engineering (not historically my primary focus), in addition to product management and design (historically my focus!), I knew I wanted to surround myself with smarter people to help keep me on the 'straight and narrow' and to aid me increasing empathy for my engineering peers. In light of this, we engaged Cory for monthly coaching/mentoring work with myself and our Engineering leadership team. Cory has been an incredible blessing to both myself and my team. I have each of my engineering leaders meet with Cory once a month for tune-up and calibration sessions - anything goes - they can voice their challenges, fears, and victories while he acts as a coach and guide to help navigate the waters of a growing/complex organization. At the end of each month Cory and I sync up to chat through executive management practices and to incorporate transparent feedback into my leadership process. It's been a wonderful arrangement. I'm grateful for Cory's expert advice, his gentle but firm exhortations, and to simply have someone of his caliber come from outside our team to continuously gut chuck me on organizational decision making. Highly recommend Cory in this capacity!”

Iris PR Platform Transition

We transitioned the Iris back end from a monolithic, framework-locked stack to a vendor-neutral, extensible stack that allows us to focus on our platform strategy. When the dust settled, we had written around 25,000 lines of Java (Spring Boot), Python, and Javascript code in 2.5 months. Automated deployment of the entire stack to Amazon AWS. During that time, we consumed an estimated 10 pounds of coffee, one bag of protein powder that we affectionately refer to as "kibble" (thank you Todd…

During that time, we consumed an estimated 10 pounds of coffee, one bag of protein powder that we affectionately refer to as "kibble" (thank you Todd Paterson), countless stale chocolates from some unknown past holiday, and a half-dixie cup of champagne for Anila. Ironically, released on Anila's birthday. Mission: Accomplished.
