Very interested in seeing how Gov Hochul handles the bill now that it's passed the senate. Data shows violence and accidents are on the rise in retail and warehouses. Duress buttons are already standard in many industries, such as healthcare and hospitality, and have been shown to reduce the severity of incidents. While many see this as a big cost, retailers that already provide mobile devices to their staff could easily enable duress functionality on those devices with the simple addition of AiRISTA software working in conjunction with existing WiFi infrastructure from Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Juniper Networks, HPE Aruba Networking, and RUCKUS Networks. For those that don't have mobile devices, there are many low cost wearables available. The key is this shouldn't be a major cost to retailers that have chosen to invest in digital transformation.
