You're a small business owner who wants to streamline project management. What are your best options?
A good rule of thumb is to pick the simplest tools that will scale with your organization for the next 18 months. Bells and whistles can be great, but if you don't use them or they make your life harder then they're not worth it. Also make sure to involve all major users in the selection process. You don't want to migrate to a new software, just to discover it's missing necessary functionality for a different team.

Identifying your ideal customer based on needs, behaviors and demographics or firmographics is key. Then, you need to find ways to connect with them authentically in their preferred channels. It's important to identify your success criteria and KPIs early on so that you can consistently make informed decisions about where to invest time and resources.

You're a new urban planning professional. What are the best GIS software options for you?
It depends on your use case - are you doing spatial analysis for a large planning and development organization? Then ArcGIS could be a great choice. QGIS is similar, and useful for making maps on a budget. However if you want to make maps to share with a community, then I'd recommend Felt. It's less technically robust but amazing for collaborative mapping.
