“I worked with Mobashar for 6 years in HP Labs in the design of the custom SRAM project. Mobashar was in charge of the JTAG and it's interface to the other modules (MBIST, I/O etc.). He was also responsible for the Verilog RTL development and full chip simulation, test bench creation validation of chip single stepped via JTAG. He was the main Foundry interface (DRC, ERC, LVS files).He participated in the debugging of the Cache SRAM on 83000. Mobashar was also responsible for the methodology development for VLIW program and CAD tools management. I highly recommend Mobashar to anyone who is looking for a seasoned circuit/methodology expert.”

Since the efficiency and the flexibility of the cache line transaction in between the CPU and the memory control unit would greatly affect the overall system performance, those important cache data transferring functions such as byte write, bypass…

Since the efficiency and the flexibility of the cache line transaction in between the CPU and the memory control unit would greatly affect the overall system performance, those important cache data transferring functions such as byte write, bypass, compare and swap capabilities have to be included in the second level cache to achieve the optimal performance. One of the project goals within HP wide-word program was to design a 16 K/spl times/72 synchronous, pipelined smart cache SRAM which is capable of sending out data at a rate of 2.25 Gbyte data per second. Today this architecture is in the chiplets designed for high performance XPUs.
