How can BI tools help organizations make data-driven decisions?
I love data-driven and data-led decision making....BUT, one thing you must still always be able to do is question the data; question the source; question how it was shared. Your human knowledge and expertise cannot be put to the side and has to serve as a check against it. This is true not just for business, but in science. Every great research paper is reviewed, scrutinized, and validated or invalidated. This is how science evolves and it has to be how business evolves too - as we learn more, and factors change. - So yes, use data - don't just use it to back up what you believe or completely disqualify it - but use it to guide and challenge you.

How can you measure the success of a start-up?
The average time to close deals is especially important for large, capital-based deals. If it takes 6-9 months to close a deal due the cost and complexity has a great impact on how you calculate CLV and CAC. Additionally, time-to-value and customer ROI is essential to show that you are providing value to the customer beyond a NPS. It also showcases that you understand your customers' real business problem and situation that they are in. Finally, SaaS companies must be hawks on their renewal rate. That demonstrates that companies believe in your solution and are willing to pay to keep it.
