How do you keep up with the latest trends and innovations in mobile content and design?
Karen McGrane wrote the book “Content Strategy for Mobile” that was published by A Book Apart. In general most people don’t talk about mobile content strategy this way. Omnichannel content is much more widely known.

How do you keep up with the latest trends and innovations in mobile content and design?
I wrote a book called “Content Strategy for Mobile” in 2012. Two statements in this article that are generally considered to be wrong: * Mobile users are “on the go” and want concise content — false. People use mobile devices in all scenarios and want the same content as on other form factors * Mobile devices have different contexts of use — mostly untrue. Yes, people can use their devices anywhere, but that doesn’t mean they want a lesser experience. Providing the same content to users, regardless of device, is a much better strategy.

Content Strategy for Mobile
A Book Apart
You don’t get to decide which platform or device your customers use to access your content: they do.
Mobile isn’t just smartphones, and it doesn’t necessarily mean you are on the move. It’s a proliferation of devices, platforms, and screensizes — from the tiniest “dumb” phones to the desktop web. How can you be sure that your content will work everywhere, all the time?
