#Amaversary Celebrating seven years at Amazon today! The 'every-day' passes so swiftly, that a milestone like 'seven years' tends to make you a little reflective. If there is one thing that continually makes working at Amazon a delightful experience for me, it is our culture of invention. Sharing my favorite 4 quotes that reflect this culture best. Could I have chosen 7 quotes for 7 years - sure! But that's another thing I've learnt - don't follow something just bcz it is status quo 😋 Here we go: 1. “We are stubborn on vision. We are flexible on details.” 2. “Our success at Amazon is a function of how many experiments we do per year, per month, per week, per day. If you double the number of experiments you do per year, you’re going to double your inventiveness.” 3. "We need big failures in order to move the needle. If we don’t, we’re not swinging enough. You really should be swinging hard, and you will fail, but that’s okay." 4. "Keep inventing, and don’t despair when at first the idea looks crazy. Remember to wander. Let curiosity be your compass. It remains Day 1" Looking forward to more of this! 😀

Cal Newport's new book, Slow Productivity, champions the philosophy of trimming our to-do lists: doing less to achieve more, emphasizing quality over quantity, and challenging the unsustainable pace of modern work expectations. Read our full interview with Newport on the Dropbox blog!

Last week, we released our Q2 earnings, which exceeded expectations, driven by increased annualized revenue from our Digital Media business and proving that Adobe is among the few companies successfully monetizing AI profitably. 1) Subscribers are upgrading their plans to access Firefly and GenAI capabilities across our flagship products. 2) We introduced Firefly for Enterprise, Acrobat AI assistant, Express for Business, and many other innovations. 3) Enterprise customers are eager to integrate AI into their workflows at scale, enhancing ideation speed and achieving productivity gains. Check out Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen interviewed by Jim Cramer

Yesterday we launched Linked Audiences, a new tool within Twilio Segment that bridges between data in your data warehouse and Segment. Marketers can now directly query and segment data in the data warehouse from within Segment. As adexchanger put it Marketers, you do you. #Twilio #Segment #CDP

How do we learn in e-commerce? It’s not from looking at gartner or g2 (although people may look at it). It’s not paid ads. It’s in the communities and on social. E-commerce events are community flashpoints. Community groups like Blue Ribbon and e-commerce fuel are community flashpoints. Social media is a community flashpoint. Awareness leads to -> interest leads to -> thought leadership leads to -> trust that gives you opportunities in this space. Show up

Leaving aside the icky-ness of several hundred talented, hardworking people finding out they no longer have a job via a sentence in an earnings call, Oracle's quiet announcement that they are shutting down their ads business leaves a substantial hole in the market for users of their audience solutions- which are being used on actively running campaigns- with very little practical guidance being provided. If you find yourself in this situation, you should know that in addition to being a branded solution in Oracle, Proximic by Comscore's data powered much of Oracle's white labeled audience solutions, and that data is broadly available across all programmatic environments. Furthermore, our contextual solutions can help Grapeshot users seamlessly transition away from those solutions to our ID-less contextual audience solution, IAB category targeting, brand suitability etc. Please reach out if you need help or have been using Comscore data in Oracle and are not sure where to go from here. Lastly ( and most importantly) - If you worked at Oracle ads and are now job hunting, Proximic by Comscore is #hiring for a few different roles and we'd love to hear from you 💕

𝐀 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞... Two years ago, I embarked on a new chapter in my career as Vice President for Business Strategy and Operations at Adobe. After an amazing learning experience, I’ve decide to leave Adobe. In this role, I gained invaluable insights and hands on experience on how to run a successful large scale business ($15B in ARR, billion in MAU, 10K employees). I also got to contribute to beloved flagship brands such as Photoshop and Acrobat, and help grow new ones such as Express and GenAI Firefly. My responsibilities spanned strategic planning, operational excellence, and spearheading business growth. As part of that, I’m proud of what I achieved together with many amazing folks. From driving OKR adoption, to re-architecting the operating model, the crazy ride of leading the Figma acquisition diligence, creating a Metrics that Matter program, making Strat Planning more agile and connected and many more. Lastly, I want to thank the leadership team at Adobe for giving me such a wonderful opportunity, and my team and cross-functional partners for your dedication and partnership. I learned so much from you and enjoyed our time together. Thank you for the support and the learnings from this chapter. I look forward to what the future holds for you all. As I step into my next career phase, I’m excited to share more about my new adventure: ➡ 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐎𝐎 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬: Focused on helping startups / mid-sized companies with their business strategy, operations scaling, and investment & portfolio growth. ➡ 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬: Offering my expertise and network through coaching Business and Ops professionals in tech. Here’s to new beginnings! -Alfredog

While I sadly will be missing Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity this year as I wait for the arrival of our second child (she’s due any day now!) I’m excited to share several big updates my team has been cooking up over the past few months at Pinterest. Today, we’re announcing: 📌 Pinterest Ad Labs: a new program for select brands to test early versions of Gen AI and creative tools for advertisers. One of the most exciting updates is collages for advertisers, where brands can remix and promote their visual assets as engaging shoppable content. 📌 Pinterest Performance+: Currently in closed beta, we’re testing our latest AI and automation features to help increase ad performance, while making it easier and quicker for marketers to create campaigns. 📌 Brand safety measurement from IAS & DoubleVerify: Both measurement providers confirmed what we already knew to be true – Pinterest is brand safe by default, with more than 99% of measured ad impressions deemed safe by both providers. Learn more about these innovations ahead of Cannes ➡ https://lnkd.in/gqiaPwcm

Do people still care about #PrimeDay? Well... yeah. But how does that translate to spending by both consumers and marketers? My Skai colleague Gil Sadeh recently gave Street Fight his perspective, including: 💵 75% of US consumers plan to spend the same or even more than they did last year. 👀 For brands, #PrimeDay2024 is an opportunity to raise visibility for slower-moving product lines. 🛒 Another tip: promote less expensive items so new buyers can sample your brand (then remarket your more premium items to them in the future). 🖥️ According to Skai's exclusive consumer survey, the top product categories this year will be: big-ticket electronics, home goods, fashion & apparel, and beauty & personal care items. Get more insights from Gil's interview here: https://lnkd.in/eUZccDZj
