  • Adaptive Learning Chatbot

    A learning buddy which provides practice questions for students preparing for exams. Makes use of a probabilistic scoring system and adapts to each student's responses to allow for personalised content - all in the form of a friendly chatbot with a sense of humour.

    Built on Android and with Microsoft Azure's Bot Framework.

    A GPS Glove for cyclists: uses vibration motors on the tips of each finger to signal which direction to go next (eg right most finger = turn right, middle finger = cont. straight), paired via Bluetooth with an Android App using the Google Maps API. Built with BBC microbit and Android.

    Trained Neural Networks to be able to identify and anticipate forum users who are in situations of social need, such as risks of depression and suicidal thoughts. Forum posts were dynamically scraped to produce large enough datasets for training, and bootstrapping was used for expanding our labelled dataset. Implemented with TensorFlow and BeautifulSoup.

    Designed and developed software in C++ which connected to the Cambridge University Engineering Department servers and traded shares. Past data trends were provided to us and the program needed to predict and trade shares to maximize profits. Used linear regression models as part of the algorithm and created a GUI to display statistics and real-time data.

    Built a 3D scanner using sensor/motorized hardware and Matlab which read Braille and converted it to English
