How can you set effective deadlines for your team?
Your focus should be on delivering the right product, not meeting a date. Breaking a feature into smaller elements(iterative path) is a good strategy for getting feedback from stakeholders, but your goal should always be to deliver a product that has value, not on an preset date. Doing all your requirements and design up front to build a schedule leaves out the option to adapt to stakeholder feedback. Dates should be goals, not deadlines.
