How can you improve your emotional intelligence at work?
A fundamental attribute of an emotionally intelligent (EI) person is empathy. Without empathy, meditation will not improve EI as there is likely no consciousness surrounding the EI deficit or any basis or related scenario on which to focus during meditation. However, lacking empathy is not an absolute barrier to developing empathy, and eventually emotional intelligence. A combination of intervention, therapy, and modeling can be helpful in instilling empathy, and ultimately increasing EI.
