It’s easier to see the breadth of a trend in the market than the depth, but it’s the deep trends that leave markets permanently transformed. 📈 Look at cloud sales partnerships. Every year, more & more B2B transactions happen through #cosell and cloud marketplaces. The lower friction and extra reach of the marketplaces are driving 70% YoY growth- we’re pacing for $45B in partner sales across the major cloud providers this year. A big portion of that growth is driven by broader adoption. ⏩ More companies are #listing their products and closing their first deals through the marketplace, and more companies are investing in tools like WorkSpan that list on marketplaces, #cosell and embed marketplace transactability into their CRMs to drive seller participation. That’s the "breadth" of the marketplace trend. ⏬ But we’ve also reached a point of maturity where growth is being driven by the "depth" of cloud marketplace adoption. Sophisticated cloud partners aren’t just using marketplace transactions to rescue stalled deals with pre-committed cloud budgets as a one off, they’re making the lower friction of cloud marketplaces a core part of their sales strategy & customer lifecycle. They’re creating dedicated partner overlay teams to drive effective co-selling motions at a global scale. They’re co-selling multiparty, services + software deals and closing them on the marketplace. They’re baking co-sell automation into their freemium / PLG product flows to automatically offer one-click upsell contracts through cloud marketplaces. A temporary surplus in cloud budgets might drive a market trend and a broad rush to participate in cloud marketplaces. But cloud marketplaces have unlocked much deeper ways to partner and powerful new ways of co-selling. ⚡ B2B selling now has Cloud GTM as a permanent pillar and it is never going to be the same!

Executive Alignment 🧑‍💼 • Ensuring buy-in from your C-suite across sales, product, and engineering is crucial. Aligning all stakeholders ensures long-term success and resource allocation. 4. Enablement & Compensation 💰 • Tailor your enablement strategies to align with the partner’s KPIs. Ensure both teams understand how they get paid, fostering motivation and collaboration. 5. Scaling Co-Sell Operations 📈 • Start small, focus on targeted accounts, and build gradually. Mature partnerships can handle thousands of co-sell opportunities, but it’s essential to scale thoughtfully. How can you put the above into practice today with your partners? 1. Create a Mutual Success Plan 📋 • Define clear goals, timelines, and KPIs. Regularly review and adjust to ensure alignment and progress. 2. Invest in Enablement 📚 • Develop robust training programs and resources. Certification programs can ensure partners are well-equipped to deliver complex solutions. 3. Reflecting on my recent trip to Tokyo, I walked away with 2 key insights that echo Bill McDermott's recent observations and make me excited for the future of ServiceNow and our partners: Growth through our Culture, Leadership, and Strategic Partnerships   As Bill recently shared,   “I think our culture, our people, our leadership team, and our partners will take us to places that you may not even believe that's how big it's going to be.”  During my trip, I had the opportunity to meet with key leaders from our strategic partners to discuss tactical steps to continue growing in the region. Then, I met with our ServiceNow leaders and aligned on our vision globally and in Japan.   In our meetings, we focused on how to elevate our business and transform the industry by rethinking our approach. A common theme was looking forward to the rising importance of integrating ServiceNow’s powerful AI platform with our partner's industry expertise to optimize workflows and drive productivity across industries while cutting costs.  I am truly excited about the opportunities we have identified to seamlessly mesh our technology with our partners' offerings, creating game-changing solutions. Together, we're setting new standards for innovation, unleashing optimization and productivity.
