You want to be a thought leader in your field. How can you develop your public speaking skills?
Yes! Love this. I attended a session on mastering virtual public speaking and a big part of it was focused on involving the audience with a “five finger poll.” Getting them engaged with physical movement from the beginning.

How do you handle rejection or lack of response from experts you want to connect with?
One of my #1 tips for networking is to structure your communication as a "slow drip" and not a "full faucet." Reaching out to someone at a specific cadence (weekly, monthly, etc.) to "re-up" the email is the "full faucet" approach, and it can feel like a lot to the receiver. Instead, I take the "slow drip" approach, which is sending someone a note from time to time and recognizing that they may not respond, and that's OK! I do this a lot by sending people articles, "I thought you might be interested in this!" It tells them I'm thinking of them but doesn't make an ask or require any response. It's a lightweight way of keeping in touch.

What are some effective strategies to proofread your own writing?
2 things I always look for when I’m editing: 1. What I call throat clearing: unnecessary words and phrases like “simply put.” You can just put it simply! You don’t have to tell us you’re doing so! 2. SAT words: If it’s a word you learned for a standardized test, it doesn’t need to be in your writing or on your resume. Myriad. Plethora. Cut these. They’re bogging down your writing!
