“Brad Thompson reported to me in his role as leader (VP) of our Publisher Solutions team at Synacor from January 2017 through June 2018. I was fortunate to "pluck" him from AOL where he was running their International Pub business from their London office and entertaining the idea of coming back to the US (San Francisco). During this time with Synacor, Brad was instrumental in restructuring and growing the team and business during a critical time period for the company and industry as a whole. Under Brad's leadership, the business grew over 75%. Needless to say, the team/Brad's results speak for themselves, but we benefited not only from strong performance, but from his deep knowledge of the ad tech ecosystem as well as from his connections throughout the industry. My sense is that Brad would make a fine addition to many companies/teams within the ad tech world! ”

How can you determine your worth as a Sales Development freelancer?
Some great insight here, and I agree with most of it (yes, experience matters. yes, the employer will ultimately set the value) but I'm going to try a diff approach and address the 'how much to charge' question. You want to be competitive but flexible so do some research to see what the going rate is in your industry/segment, are you remote/hybrid, etc. You can probably get a baseline from what salaries are paid for SDRs on LI and calc an hourly rate off of that and adjust as nec (keeping in mind that benefits, etc. are embedded into the salary num). Start there and use your network to bounce rate ranges off of. Also, reach out to recruiters both internal and external - even if they aren't directly in your network - to get a fair read.
