What are some effective ways to maintain a positive and engaging networking conversation?
Authenticity is key to relationship building and I believe offering a point of view or a fresh idea to build on something the other person is sharing can be beneficial. That way they know you are listening and you're providing value too. Saying "have you thought about..." or "that's really interesting and can you share more so that I can think of ways to help you should I see opportunities to do so..." are often appreciated.

How can you build a business network if you're an introvert?
Introverts can absolutely be effective networkers. Authenticity is key to networking and introverts are often great listeners so leveraging this strength can be a great strategy. Listening to what people really want and need will make you earn trust more quickly. Developing a strong network is often about being a trusted advisor. If introverts can instead see networking as a way to understand and get to know people and what makes them tick, it might be less scary to put themselves out there.
