Last evening @flightsafety honored Joanna Geraghty, JetBlue CEO, as the 2024 Gloria Heath Trophy Recipient, which recognizes a woman for notable achievements in civil aviation. A 19-year veteran of @JetBlue who took over as CEO in February after having served as the airline's president and CEO, Joanna was recognized for her commitment to the well-being and success of JetBlue's employees, her leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, and for fostering an environnment where personnel are empowered to report safety concerns and to hold each other accountable. #WomeninAviationInternational is proud to support in the creation of the trophy by artist Laurie Barton in 2022. Gloria W. Heath, was a pioneering female pilot and later an expert in search-and-rescue operations on land, at sea, and in the air. She was a founding member of Flight Safety Foundation and an early force in the Foundation's efforts to disseminate aviation safety information worldwide. Gloria was a Women Airforce Service Pilot (WASP) stationed at Pocatello, Idaho, where she flew Martin B-26 bombers. Congratulations Joanna! Thank you for your mentorship and making significant strides in diversity and inclusion efforts. #WomeninAviation #IamWAI #WeAreWAI @laurieburtonart
