About us
Volunteers For Peace (VFP) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1982, that offers over 3,000 volunteer placements in more than 90 countries worldwide. VFP organizes, promotes, and supports international voluntary service as an effective means of intercultural education, service learning, and community development. Each year we are able to provide our volunteers with invaluable opportunities to build cultural understanding and friendship around the world, strengthen their ability to communicate in diverse groups and learn grassroots leadership skills. We offer projects in duration of 2-3 weeks up to 2-3 months, all for a same registration fee of only $500. All housing, meals, project leadership and materials are taken care of and the volunteer is responsible for their own airfare. We also customize group opportunities if there are classes or student groups interested in volunteering together. Check out our website for more information, www.vfp.org.
