About us
Like the vast majority of boutique wine and spirits producers that we represent, Virtuoso Wine & Spirits is a proud, family-owned business! Founded 2003 by sisters Brenda and Robyn Johnson, in a small space in the heart of Texas, Virtuoso has grown to offer climate-controlled warehouses in Austin, Dallas and Houston, and we have expanded our distribution capabilities to all key Texas markets. Our continued growth is driven by a passionate sales team of motivated professionals. This amazing team is the key to our success and excels in maintaining great partnerships along with constantly nurturing new opportunities throughout the state. By focusing on artisanal, independent, family-owned producers, Virtuoso Wine & Spirits waves the flag for families who, through their offerings, proudly reflect their respective cultures and origins. And we offer this distinctiveness across every price level. We value our customers and welcome your feedback and suggestions.

One we embrace wholeheartedly, integrating, and continuing to integrate, sustainable practices into all facets of our operations.” – Rod Harrison, Chief Viticulturist. Thanks Priscilla Hennekam ! Really enjoyed our discussion and looking forward to listening to the podcast. Cheers. Darren.
What a day with Darren Rathbone at Yering Station After representing Xanadu Wines, Yering Station and Mount Langi Ghiran in the first Australian Wine Fair in Brazil this year, it was amazing to be able to catch up with Darren this time in Victoria. Thank you Darren for going through a tasting of incredible wines from Yarra Valley with me and for the chatting. Of course we will have Darren with us at Wine Soundtrack as well, stay tuned! #wineindustry #yarravalley #wine #peoplelovepeople Greg Wallis

Our 2021 Billi Billi Shiraz has recently featured as one of Matthew Jukes 100 Best Australian Wines - 20th Anniversary Edition. "An incredible wine... With no 2020 made, this vintage follows on from the superb 2019, and it means that Billi Billi, for the first time in my memory, has played a blinder in back-to-back releases. Crunchy tannins form the perfect platform on which the glorious blackberry, liquorice, rhubarb, and cherry notes cavort. 70% of this wine is estate fruit, so that goes some way to answering why this wine has such an elite flavour." - Matthew Jukes Also featured in the article were our 2020 Cliff Edge Shiraz, described as "smooth, silky and layered", our 2021 Talus Shiraz; "The finest, smoky, meaty Talus to date" and the "superb" 2021 Billi Billi Pinot Gris.
