Climate action 🌎 🤝 ⚡ Clean transportation Veo recently partnered with the U.S. Department of Transportation for the agency's Transportation and Climate Symposium where we connected with leaders and advocates from across the country to share emerging transportation technologies for climate action. Celeste Alana Brown, MPA our Policy and Partnerships Manager for Social Impact, represented Veo along with members of our incredible field team who keep our day-to-day operation running in the nation's capital. A highlight for our team was engaging with attendees about envisioning a more inclusive future for clean transportation. These conversations emphasized the need for new micromobility vehicle types to support a broader range of riders and trip purposes. That's why we were excited for attendees to share feedback on two new vehicles that Veo has in the pipeline: a two-seated e-bike and self-balancing trike. Thanks to the advocates, government leaders, and clean transportation representatives who came out to talk about decarbonizing our transportation system. The future of clean transportation is bright, and we can't wait to continue working together to pursue a sustainable transportation system that works for everyone.

Today we’re raising a toast to Veo’s Head of Policy & Partnerships Alexander Keating, who has been recognized among City & State’s list of movers and shakers who are keeping New Yorkers moving. During his time at Veo, Alex has played a crucial role in expanding shared micromobility across New York, from the Bronx and Queens to Syracuse, Rochester, and New Rochelle. Thanks, Alex, for the work you do advancing the growth of shared scooter and bike programs in New York and nationwide. 🛴⚡ https://lnkd.in/eNxz8qhU

When Veo moved our headquarters to Santa Monica in 2022, it was clear that the Santa Monica Education Foundation is playing a crucial role in supporting the success of all students in the community. "We all Ride" is a core value to Veo. While many of the students at Samohi aren't yet old enough to ride (18+ only, please!), that value means more to us than just who is using our scooters and bikes. "We all Ride" is about building a community for everyone, and the Ed Foundation embodies that value. Last month, I had the pleasure to join Raymur Flinn for a tour of the new Exploration building at Samohi, as she was welcomed as the new Executive Director of the Foundation. Veo would like to offer a special thank you to Linda Greenberg, the previous Ed Foundation Executive Director who reprised her role on an interim basis and is passing the torch to Raymur, having ensured many bright days ahead. We look forward to our continued partnership with the Foundation and its efforts to invest in student success and Santa Monica's future. Let’s go, Eastern Queens! Starting today, borough residents can use Veo shared scooters to get where they need to go! Kudos to Mayor Adams and the New York City Department of Transportation for building on the success of the program in the East Bronx to expand safe, affordable, and sustainable scooter share to more New Yorkers. We at Veo couldn’t be more excited to keep things rolling in Eastern Queens! It’s been an exciting past three years in the Bronx, where residents and visitors have taken over 4 million trips to date. A few highlights: 🛴 An overwhelmingly strong safety record: Our partnership with the City puts rider safety first. Since the program’s launch, DOT has recorded few serious injuries and no fatalities, with fewer than one crash reported per 10,000 trips. #VisionZero 🛵Riders demand options: In the Bronx (and now Queens!), Veo offers a mixed fleet of standing and seated scooters. Our seated Cosmo scooter, with large tires, a seat, and a low center of gravity, is our rider-favorite in the Bronx. 🚌 Bridging transit gaps in neighborhoods not served by subways: Nearly 40% of Veo’s Bronx riders report using scooters to connect to transit, showing how shared scooters are becoming a critical part of New York City’s transportation system. ✅ Equity as a priority. Veo’s Access Pricing model has provided thousands of truly affordable trips for low-income New Yorkers, with our $5 a month membership unlocking free daily riding and other perks. Shout out to Jeffrey Hoover, Joe Bott, Larry Rosman, Jeremy Andrade, Marta Vitolins, and many more for their hard work on our Queens expansion. Stay tuned - we can’t wait to report back on our program rollout in Eastern Queens. Learn more about the Eastern Queens launch: https://lnkd.in/guiQEEy9
