As the world increasingly embraces digital, open-source technologies, decentralized web storage solutions are revolutionizing the way we share, store, and access information. However, the challenge lies in meeting the growing demands of data management with innovative and secure solutions. Ushahidi is collaborating with the Filecoin Foundation for the Decentralized Web (FFDW) to create a long-term, tamper-proof repository for citizen reports crowdsourced during elections, leveraging Filecoin's decentralized storage network. In this article, the first in a three-part series, we explore the revolutionary potential of open-source and decentralized storage technologies. Read more to discover how the synergy between open-source technologies and decentralized web storage can transform data management and empower communities. However, the protests were infiltrated by criminal gangs that destroyed property and robbed protesters. In this report, we present to you the sentiments we analyzed through the Ushahidi internal instance for social listening on X (formally Twitter). We pulled 89,262 organic and unique tweets, classified and categorized them using our AI-driven models in collaboration with Dataminr and with the support of Qhala.
