From repairing cracks and addressing corrosion on steel structures to being used to construct critical and more resilient components, fiber-reinforced polymers (FRP) are offering a more sustainable and cost-effective answer to several demanding challenges. FRP research at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is enhancing the structural integrity and sustainability of military and civilian infrastructure and demonstrating the potential of these techniques and technologies to revolutionize traditional engineering practices. Join us for the next ERDC Live as we welcome Dr. Guillermo Riveros, a research civil engineer with the Information Technology Laboratory, to discuss how ERDC is working alongside engineers across USACE to incorporate the unique capabilities of FRPs into a wide range of projects across the nation. The next ERDC Live is Wednesday, July 24 at 10 a.m. Central.
