AF Group and its affiliated brands became aware of a cyber security incident and upon discovery of unusual system activity – and out of an abundance of caution – we made the decision to shut down access to business systems. At the same time, we engaged forensics experts who, alongside our IT security team, began an investigation. During this process, our highest priority was to determine any impacts to our systems and data and the investigation has confirmed no customer data has been impacted or taken by an unauthorized party. As our independent forensics investigation concludes and system restoration process continues, we are thoroughly examining and modernizing our digital infrastructure to bring systems up safely and securely. Our best estimate for restoration is early August. Until this is complete, we will continue to offer critical services, including policy issuance, reporting and payment of claims, and response to customer inquiries – and we will enhance these services until we reach restoration. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this incident has caused to our trusted business partners and customers. More info at afgroup.com.

Our offices will be closed tomorrow (Wednesday, June 19) in observance of Juneteenth. We are grateful for all of the opportunities that our teammates have had to learn about the rich history, significance and impact of Freedom Day with our Employee Resource Network – through speakers, food and music, as well as opportunities to support local Black-owned businesses, to volunteer in the community, and for fellowship and networking. Our offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, as we observe Memorial Day and pause to honor those who have died in service of our nation. “And with the flag flashing high in the sun, / Place on the graves of our heroes the laurels / Which their unfaltering valor has won!” --Paul Lawrence Dunbar, “Ode for Memorial Day” (1896)
