This July, Union Pacific employee resource group, EASE, commemorated the historic signature of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which protects people with disabilities from discrimination in many areas of public life while celebrating the history, achievements and experiences of the disability community. “EASE’s mission is so important,” said Craig Richardson, UP EVP and EASE’s executive sponsor. “Making people feel welcome and included can help unlock the tremendous talent and insight of teammates who could share the next brilliant idea to propel our railroad forward.”

During our Westward Bound Tour, #UP4014 stopped in Wells, Nevada; a city founded in 1869 by the Central Pacific Railroad as a water station due to the towns’ strategic location at the headwaters of the Humboldt River. The city received its official designation as Train Town USA. Pictured with the Big Boy are City Manager Jason Pengelly, Council member Nikki Del Rio, Mayor Gary Pollock, UP Sr. Director Public Affairs Peggy Ygbuhay, Council member Chris Micheli and Council member Beth Savedra. They also toured UP's Heritage Fleet.
