For the 5th year, our Ashland Distribution Center is excited to partner with the Virginia Down Syndrome Association for their Summer Employment Academy. This is a 4-week summer program in which high school students, ages 16-22, with Down syndrome have on-site career experiences along with in-class training. The students spend two days a week at the job sites which allows them to experience different careers so they can find what they truly enjoy! For the first two weeks of the program, Ashland welcomed Rachel and her job coach, Angela, to work in our DTC department alongside Health Enthusiast, Lisa! Rachel was a quick learner, loved learning how to pack our products to be shipped to our customers, but her favorite was using the RF scanner! Through numerous promotions, Andrew is now a District Manager who oversees stores in North Carolina, Tennessee & Virginia. Andrew’s infectious personality and extensive knowledge of our products and services is one of the many reasons he has been a valued member of our community for years. We are excited to share that Jesus Sanchez has been promoted to the position of Market Manager in Dallas, Texas. Jesus has been a valued member of The Vitamin Shoppe family for 14 years. He began his journey with us as a part-time Health Enthusiast working his way up to his most recent role of Field Training Manager. Jesus has grown through the ranks due to his dedication, hard work, and extensive experience in training and mentoring new hires. Jesus’ efforts has resulted in him being a recipient of a V Excellence award voted on by his peers. Outside of The Vitamin Shoppe, Jesus is a devoted family man who loves grilling and sharing the delicious results with his loved ones. He is also passionate about fitness and finds great fulfillment in health and wellness. Over the weekend, we had the opportunity to bring The Vitamin Shoppe to the Pocono Raceway with a booth at Vet Village. Spectators who stopped by had the chance to take home free samples, enter to win a health & wellness gift basket, and learn about our Military Appreciation Mondays discount for former & active duty armed forces members. Our Health Enthusiasts loved getting to connect with new customers plus all branches of our military—including the United States Space Force!

We are excited to share that Robert Guzman has been promoted to the position of Market Sales Manager in Coastal New Jersey! Robert has been a valued member of The Vitamin Shoppe family for over 9 years. His journey with us began in our Holmdel, New Jersey location as an Assistant Store Manager in 2015. In his most recent role as a Field Training Manager, Robert demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovative thinking, significantly contributing to the growth and development of talent in his district. Health and Wellness has always been a large part of Robert’s lifestyle. He enjoys working out, supplementing, and eating clean. Robert loves what he does every day and finds his work as a leader extremely rewarding.
