About us

Telltale Games helped pioneer episodic narrative games. Now, working with a team of talented industry veterans, we honor that tradition while pushing the boundaries of interactive storytelling. Telltale’s games and stories—they move people. Telltale’s legacy includes several award-winning and best-selling franchises including Batman: The Telltale Series, The Wolf Among Us, and more. Over 80 Awards since the studio was founded. As the new Telltale, we’ve already announced that The Wolf Among Us 2 is in development (12/2019) – and we’re just getting started. Telltale continues to expand its lineup with internationally recognized and acclaimed properties from partners such as DC Comics and other unannounced stories that capture the imaginations of gamers across the world. The new Telltale uses a distributed development model. Our new workflow is based around sustainable business practices. We are using a modern engine and pipeline – built upon the Unreal Engine. We are focused and functioning as a digital-first developer and publisher of games on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, PC, Android, and iOS devices. Most importantly, we value every team member, working to create stories that inspire people. We’re excited to set the foundations for the next great wave of Telltale’s narrative experiences. With Episode 5 launching, you’re now able to fully experience the story for The Expanse: A Telltale Series from start to finish. For those of you that’ve been playing all along, thank you for experiencing this ride as we launched episodes rapidly – two weeks apart – as part of what we aimed to do as the new Telltale. Of course, all those "binge-style" players can now jump in as well. It has been a wild ride to get to this point, rebooting the studio and we wouldn't have gotten to this point without the dedicated teams behind the scenes that made all of this possible. It also goes without saying that our whole team wouldn't be here without the amazing support of our community. The fans and followers, the lovers of narrative gaming. You have our deepest gratitude. As we celebrate the occasion, we are having a limited time sale of The Expanse: A Telltale Series on digital storefronts. Check the blog link for more details. We asked Lead Environment Artist Tommy Spampinato to see if he could take the ship that he modeled for The Expanse: A Telltale Series and turn it into a printable 3D model. He jumped at the chance. "Even though we were done with production of the game, it became a personal project to make something cool for fans to print. At first, I did not realize the limitations of the 3D printing process," Tommy says. "It’s a learning process, for sure. In early test prints, I could see how I needed to remodel the entire ship by reducing detail and, in some cases, making details more pronounced. Also, I needed to create something people could print in a reasonable amount of time." Not only do we hope you enjoy the game, we hope that you enjoy taking a little bit of it with you...and putting it on a shelf! https://lnkd.in/gdJhy5d5 #3dmodeling #Design #videogames #3dprinting

We’ve announced that Telltale has acquired London-based interactive video technology company Flavourworks! This follows last week’s launch of our first new game since the company’s resurrection, The Expanse: A Telltale Series. This latest move is in line with our commitment to bring great narrative games to new audiences and platforms. “Fans today want to interact with their favorite IPs more deeply, and interactive narratives are a really immersive way to do that,” said Jamie O., Telltale CEO. “At the same time, people want to access their games from wherever they are, regardless of device or platform. Flavourworks’ technology and interactive video expertise will enable us to efficiently create story-based games and reach more people through streaming and new platforms. We’re excited about what it could mean for our portfolio of games.” If you want to learn more, we spoke with Dean Takahashi about this latest exciting move. https://lnkd.in/gENJ-Hy2
