The Chevron doctrine being overturned isn’t the only recent Supreme Court decision that could affect how tech companies do business. One of the most consequential is Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, which set a precedent for the courts to defer to experts at government agencies if certain statutes that pertained to their work were ambiguous or unclear. We talked to experts David Vladeck at Georgetown University and John (Heflin) Hopkins-Gillispie at Trustible to get insight on how this term’s rulings could throw AI regulation into turmoil. https://lnkd.in/gTtGg_FS #Regulation #PublicSafety #SupremeCourt

More than half of all Gen Z professionals (53%) freelanced in 2023, according to research from Upwork. That’s more than any generation before them: It was true for 44% of millennials, 30% of Gen X and 26% of Boomers. Is that a sign of more flexibility in ways to make a living — or of a landscape where job and career opportunities are increasingly scarce? https://lnkd.in/eaRs8hnW #GigWork #FutureOfWork #GenZ #Freelance

Enjoyed speaking with Kaela Roeder at Technical.ly about Heeler's $8.5 million seed round and our ground-breaking ProductDNA technology. When the Heeler team embarked on this journey, one initial goal was clear yet daunting—automate the tracking of software deployments to a precision never before considered possible. Skeptics doubted, claiming "That just isn’t possible." Nonetheless, our resolve was firm, propelled by the urgent need to answer critical questions in vulnerability response processes: * Which services (or code bases) are affected? * Where is this code deployed, containerized or otherwise? * What changes are required, and who will implement them? * When and how were these changes deployed? Heeler's answer to these challenges is our pioneering solution: ProductDNA. https://lnkd.in/egJzJriD
