71 years ago, the "Forgotten War" ended. But at Team RWB, we remember. Join us in honoring Korean War Veterans this National Korean War Armistice Day. Let's show them their legacy lives on in every mile we run, every weight we lift, and every Veteran we support.

🚩 Over 61% of our staff are Veterans or Active Duty service members. Majority of the rest? Military family members. As a Veteran Service Org, we put our money where our mouth is. Today, we’re spotlighting our Veteran Engagement Managers who lead by example every day. Here’s why we hire vets, in their own words. Courtney sums it up: "Service members learn to put the mission before everything else. When hiring a Veteran, you bring on a team member who will not stop until the job is done." Kian shares how his service shaped his career: "I was fortunate to have a great support system when I got out with my family and friends but saw that some of my battle buddies didn't have the same. I missed the comradery that I had when I was active and wanted to help be the support system for Veterans getting out of service." And Sal reflects on his journey: "For me, service was not merely a profession but a solemn vow to uphold the legacy my forefathers had etched in history. It was my way of paying homage to their sacrifices and fulfilling my obligation to this land of the free." At Team RWB, we believe in the power of veterans. 🦅

Research shows that chronic pain is more prevalent among American veterans than the general population – severe pain is 40% greater in veterans than non-veterans. That's why we've joined forces with Sword Health on the launch of the Sword Foundation. The Sword Foundation will work to improve health inequities by bringing the company's innovative AI Care platform to underserved communities, including our nation's veterans. “We are fired up to join forces with the Sword Foundation, extending high-caliber care to our veteran members. At Team RWB, we often see first-hand the impacts of chronic pain on the health and wellness of veterans. Together, through this partnership, we're providing this group of veterans with support and resources that are ultimately helping them lead healthier and happier lives.” - Mike Erwin, Team RWB Founder and Executive Director. https://bit.ly/3WeCfqg

Life's battles don't always end when we hang up the uniform. For Pippy, a Veteran grappling with PTSD and Major Anxiety/Depressive Disorder, the struggle continued long after her service. Despite having a supportive family and reaching retirement, she found herself silently fighting an internal war. Then she went on our Eagle Expedition to Maine. https://bit.ly/4bRf8Yy

Since 22 February 1932, over 1.8 million service members have received the Purple Heart, including some Team RWB Eagles. As part of our August Monthly Mission, the Purple Heart Workout, we honor them all by breaking a little sweat and sharing their stories. Stories like that of retired Sergeant First Class (SFC) John Reyes. John is a Purple Heart Recipient who deployed multiple times to both Iraq and Afghanistan. He has served Team RWB in various capacities for a decade and co-authored the memoir “Angels in Sadr City.” This is his story. https://bit.ly/3LuuNC9
