Mary Stoick, our Senior Vice President and Director of Tax Credit Lending, has worked on some incredibly challenging and rewarding finance projects during her time at Sunrise Banks. You may be familiar with some of them, such as the Minneapolis American Indian Center, The Historical Coliseum Building and the modular housing factory being built by former NBA star Devean George. Mary recently sat down with Finance & Commerce to talk about her work on some of those high-profile projects, along with what it takes to see these projects through from start to finish.

To celebrate the start of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris this week, we’re highlighting an incredible new sports, health and wellness facility in North Minneapolis. The V3 Sports Center brings all kinds of fitness facilities, programs and resources together under one roof. Phase One, which opened in June, includes a state-of-the-art workout facility, childcare center and a 25-yard swimming pool for teaching people of all ages how to swim. Phase Two will feature a 50-meter competition pool that was used for the 2020 U.S. Olympics Swimming Trials, along with multi-use courts and an atrium with a spiral walking track. On our blog, you can read more about how V3 Sports brought this concept to life with help from many organizations, including Sunrise Banks: https://bit.ly/3YhvW7L Member FDIC.

Sunrise Banks customers Adam Jonas and Jay Rajaratnam are the development team behind Firefly Lynlake, a new multi-family housing complex in south Minneapolis that is a certified U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Zero Ready Home. That means the building is so energy efficient that it has the potential to generate as much energy as it consumes through renewable energy. Sunrise Banks provided a $1.75 million net zero construction loan for the Firefly LynLake project. Adam and Jay are also some of the first business participants in the Net Zero Deposits program at Sunrise Banks. On our blog, you can learn more about the net zero features of the Firefly complex and how Adam and Jay are creating an “ecosystem of synergy.” https://bit.ly/3WgYtJd Member FDIC.
