Our summer internship program officially started just over a month ago, and our interns have been staying very busy. Congratulations to our San Pasqual Undergrounding project team for receiving their third industry recognition: the 2024 APWA Project of the Year Award! In Santa Clarita, our grading crew is loading out material from cut slopes on State Route 14 for Caltrans. The loaded truck is one of over 15,000 to be hauled off-site over 68 working days. We are approximately 25% complete with the construction of the Zone 4 Phase A Liner Project at the Prima Deshecha Landfill in San Juan Capistrano. To date, our team has hauled over three million cubic yards of excavation using a combination of CAT 657 scrapers, CAT 651 scrapers, and CAT 773 rigid frame trucks. Earthwork activities will continue through the end of the year in preparation for the installation of the geosynthetic liner system.
