☀️😎 Vacation Can Boost Our #Creativity! During vacation, when we have time to let our thoughts wander freely, magical ideas can be born. Research shows that a break from everyday stress not only improves our #wellbeing but also increases our creativity. 👉 See links to interesting research studies in our comment below ⬇️ A study (Greater Good) from the University of California, San Francisco, found that vacations can significantly reduce #stress, improve #health, and boost #creativity. Moreover, new and unexpected experiences, such as traveling or spending time in nature, can lead to an increase in creativity (Ask The Scientists), (Science Daily). Brain imaging studies (Annual Reviews) reveal that being idle, #daydreaming, and relaxing create alpha waves in the brain that are key to creative insights. Other research (NCBI) shows that #positive emotions—the kind we feel on a relaxing, playful vacation—make us more inventive and able to think outside the box. New insights can inspire to exciting initiatives in your company or solve old problems. Last week, Jacob Lundgren, Associate VC Relations, joined the Health & Life Science Venture Day in Hamburg. This event, organized by Health Innovation Port, Hamburg Investors Network, HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds, and Life Science Nord, brought together investors and innovative ideas from the healthcare sector. Startups of various sizes pitched their innovative business models in three categories: Biotech, MedTech, and Digital Health. 💡💼 When we asked Jacob Lundgren about his insights from the event, this is what he said: “Hamburg's life science community is clearly thriving and evolving. Strengthening our cooperation with Germany is essential, not only to enhance access to capital but also to benefit from the flow of innovative companies emerging from the region. The potential here is significant, and we are looking forward to exploring these opportunities. If Swedish research doesn't translate into practical applications within Sweden, we miss out on significant societal benefits. It's crucial to not only focus on research but also to sustain support for startups and innovation actors, which are currently facing reductions. This is a key issue our CEO, Ebba Fåhraeus, aims to address as a member of the Swedish Government Office's advisory group for life science. The group met for the first time this week, discussing issues like the importance of developing and implementing precision medicine, developing structures for healthdata with regards to integrity, strengthening the competence supply, the need for better clinical trials etc, as particularly important for Swedish life science. Thank you to the members of the advisory group for constructive discussions Jenni Nordborg, Thomas Eldered, Maria Björkqvist, Annika Östman Wernerson, Anna L., Gustaf Salford, Ulrika Årehed Kågström, Jens Nielsen, Patrik Danielson, Johan Färnstrand, Anders Ahlsson, Jessica Martinsson, Håkan Sandahl, Bettina Ryll, Stefan Jovinge, Karin Forsberg Nilsson, Emilie Antoni, Magnus Hallberg, Beatrice Melin, Rickard Simonsson, Britta Stenson, PhD Looking forward to continuing the discussions at the next meeting!
💡Rådgivande life science-grupp ökar tempot för en ledande life science-nation!
