After becoming a Mom this past year, the power of play has been more present than ever in my life. Sitting in the sand, putting rocks in a bucket for a solid 50 minutes straight (at the least) has brought back a sense of self I think I had lost. So I can not be more excited for GOODQUES to be chosen by Fast Company to join in the #FastcompanyInnovationFestival, partnering with Sloomoo Institute to showcase how play (in this case Slime!) can promote connectivity and combat the loneliness epidemic many of us are experiencing today. We will be PROVING the impact play has on driving connectivity with proprietary research, and using those learnings to curate a custom "AN ANTI-NETWORKING, NETWORKING EVENT" at Sloomoo! We are excited to announce our newest partnership with Houston legend Bun B’s Trill Burgers! We connected with him through a shared love of slime, which has become a cherished way for him to play with his grandkids and find moments of joy amidst his hectic schedule. Together, we've created a family-friendly immersive experience with a slime and burger collaboration launching today, July 18th. We’re combining the signature flavors of Houston's best burger with our world of satisfying sensory play. Ahead of the series premiere of Orphan Black: Echoes, we’re proud to partner with AMC Networks to create a “YOU ARE A LIMITED EDITION” custom slime to celebrate the tenets of uniqueness and freedom and the return of the Clone Club through sensory play. It has a metallic, ruby shine, embellished with metallic sugar paper, like a shattered mirror. The texture is clear glue based, so it offers mesmerizing bubbles and stretches. We custom blended an elevated scent that we call Freedom (notes of citrus, vanilla, floral, and a hint of leather, which makes for a sophisticated fragrance, befitting of the show). Caring for mental health and well-being is a year-round commitment at Sloomoo. This month serves as a gentle reminder for us all to take a mindful moment to check in with ourselves and practice self-kindness. Sloomoo Institute was born from a very personal place when playing with slime brought joy to both of our co-founders, Karen Robinovitz and Sara (Beard) Schiller, during difficult times in their lives. Their experience led to the discovery of numerous stories illustrating how sensory play aids in reducing stress and anxiety. As part of our core mission, we contribute to mental health non-profits like MindUP | The Goldie Hawn Foundation and share ways for our community to care for their well-being. In line with our commitment, we're hosting a social happy hour in our space to foster connections and cultivate new friendships through a shared love for slime. From May 5-10, we’re inviting our community to join us in sharing words of encouragement and support for all ages for National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day. Join us in embracing growth and connection through screen-free bonding experiences!
