If your cat is open to affection (we all know that some are not 😐), then happy Hug Your Cat Day! Time to shower your whiskered buddy with lots of cuddles—if they’re in the mood, that is. For those who would rather have a high-five or a respectful nod from afar, that's fine, too. Post a photo of your cat enjoying (or tolerating) today's hug! 🐈💕 #rarebreedvets #hugyourcatday

Congratulations to Rolly, our June Employpet of the Month! Rolly is an adorable 10-month-old long-haired mini dachshund belonging to Kimmy, the practice manager at Winter Hill Veterinary Clinic. Rolly accompanies Kimmy to work most days and is guaranteed to spread smiles and joy to everyone he meets. This little guy loves a good weigh-in, hoping it leads to treats! He's aced all his exams and vaccines, earning him the "goodest boy" title and a perfect score on the cuddler and face kisser scales. #rarebreedvet #employpetofthemonth

It's World No Tobacco Day. We all know that smoking is bad for humans. But did you know that pets are more exposed to chemicals from smoking than we might realize? If you've seen how smoke stains furniture and walls in a smoker's home, imagine the residue on pets' fur or feathers. This "smoker's residue" is full of harmful chemicals. Pets in smoking households not only breathe in the smoke but also ingest these toxins while grooming themselves. Keeping this in mind can help us make healthier choices for our furry and feathered friends. #rarebreedvets #worldnotobaccoday
