Today, we are thrilled to announce a strategic joint venture that will accelerate bioproduct innovation and commercialization. Synonym and Primient have partnered to propel the bioeconomy forward. By combining forces – Synonym's expertise in data-driven biomanufacturing infrastructure with Primient's century-long leadership in operations and renewable, plant-based ingredients – we're fast-tracking the development and scale-up of next-gen bioproducts. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in advancing the US bioeconomy, providing the infrastructure and support companies need to bring next-gen bioproducts to market. Our first project, iPROOF, based at Primient’s Decatur, IL facility, will focus on re-commissioning and upgrading existing fermentation assets and expanding current capacity to demonstration scale. This project is part of the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA)’s recent $51 million grant to the iFAB Tech Hub, which supports advancements in precision fermentation and biomanufacturing. The joint facility will offer comprehensive wrap-around services for companies using precision fermentation to prove out concepts through to commercial scale. #RootedIn Growth As summer comes to a close, we're wrapping up an incredible season with our talented interns who have been an essential part of our team. Each intern brought fresh perspectives and energy to our departments across our locations. Our Schaumburg, IL intern Victoria Olejarz shared this about her experience, “The internship program was incredible, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Today we are excited to announce our partnership with Synonym. The partnership breaks new ground for how companies of all sizes can model, prove out, de-risk, and scale up functional, biobased products using precision fermentation which are better for people and planet. It is a match made to fast track bioproduct launches and fuel the U.S. bioeconomy. Our inaugural project together - iPROOF – is planned at Primient’s Decatur, IL campus and includes re-commissioning and upgrading existing fermentation assets at the site as well as expanding current capacity. Once completed, the facility will offer comprehensive wrap-around services for companies to prove out concepts through to commercial scale. The iPROOF project is also part of the larger iFAB Tech Hub initiative led by the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana’s Integrated Bioprocessing Research Laboratory which was recently awarded $51 million in U.S. Economic Development Administration's Tech Hub Grant Funding to establish a world class precision fermentation hub in Central Illinois. Together, we helped serve over 50 households in our community, making a real difference in their lives! At Primient, we believe in the power of community and the importance of ensuring everyone has access to food.

#RootedIn Generosity Our Schaumburg, IL team recently supported Fellowship Housing, an at-risk housing program for women and their children. Primient helped provide summer baskets filled with essential items for their new residents moving in.
