  • We are excited to announce our March 2024 (PNA Safety Incentive Program) Safety Person of the Month, Miguel Jimenez! Miguel has been a Union Ironworker for over 15 years and has worked with PNA for about 4 of those years. As our leaders evaluate the nominees for this award every month, they are on the lookout for employees who make an impact by making safety measures a top priority. We look for employees who are cognizant of their personal safety and that of those around them and this month we would like to recognize Miguel for consistently working to achieve both aspects. Miguel continues to go above and beyond when planning and implementing the safety procedures on site. While planning and performing the hoist run installation earlier this month, Miguel was invaluable in setting up all safety precautions. He assisted with the crane plan, and assured his team members that there were no dangers while they worked on a live road and completed the installation without any issues. Miguel has become crucial to executing the day-to-day operations, including walking each work area several times a day, making sure that all of our safety rules are being met and assisting in their implementation. Thank you Miguel for all remaining consistent in your attention to safety and the standards we strive to meet and exceed on all of our project sites. #SafetyAtPNA

  • We are excited to announce our February 2024 (PNA Safety Incentive Program) Safety Person of the Month, Khoun Lim! Khoun has been an integral part of our BTM Production team in Montreal for the last five years, proudly working as an Assembler and contributing to our preparation team. Before joining us, he amassed valuable experience in the curtain wall industry, honing his skills through hands-on installation work on construction sites. Khoun continues to utilize those skills and grow within our organization as he stands out for his positive attitude and his knowledge of work processes & safety procedures. His commitment to prioritizing and upholding safety standards is truly commendable. Over the past five years he has been constantly attentive to his surroundings and proactively identifies potentially hazardous situations to report or remedy them promptly.  His adaptability shines brightly in the face of a rapidly changing work environment, making him an indispensable asset to our team. Khoun is an exemplary employee, demonstrating a strong sense of accountability by prioritizing and actively ensuring his own safety and that of those around him. Thank you Khoun for working to uphold the safety standards within our organization! #SafetyAtPNA

  • We are excited to announce our January 2024 (PNA Safety Incentive Program) Safety Person of the Month, Sean Jones! Sean has been working as an Ironworker Apprentice out of Local 25 for about a year and a half and he is currently working on our Davidson Foundation Project in Bloomfield Hills Michigan. Over the past five months, Sean continues to show his potential as he consistently adheres to safety measures like wearing all required PPE. Paperwork is often something that gets overlooked as a part of maintaining high safety standards but recordkeeping is an important part of safety and Sean recognizes this aspect. He maintains the documentation relating to equipment inspections and ensures exclusion zones are in place especially as teammates navigate some of the less visible places on site. We look forward to seeing how Sean continues to work hard and shine as an apprentice on our team. Thank you for showing how you can be a leader at every level and for taking the time to ensure that safety elements become habitual at this early point in your career! #SafetyAtPNA

  • We are proud to announce Henry Gee as the 2024  Francis  X.  McCullough Safety Excellence Award winner!   This is our third year recognizing one of our monthly safety award winners with our most prestigious safety honor. Through the  Francis  X.  McCullough Safety Excellence Award, we aim to recognize the traits that its name bearer exemplified through his extensive career. Frank McCullough is a former employee who worked to consistently make safety a top priority in every aspect of how he performed his work and how he mentored and led people in our organization. The values he demonstrated and instilled not only contribute to our safety standards but also to a culture that remains focused on the wellbeing of our people. Frank started his career in curtain wall as an Ironworker before he ultimately took on the Safety Manager role in our organization. He utilized that experience to create a custom Columbus McKinnon shackle for hanging curtain wall units up to 2,250 lbs. We are honored to remember him and keep his legacy going through this annual award.   As in years past, we selected Henry from the 12 monthly  award winners from 2023. It was definitely a challenge to select the winner this year as our nominees continue to excel in the area of safety and their overall contributions to the organization. Henry Gee, is one of our Ironworkers out of local 377. He started with PNA in 2019 and has been on multiple projects over the past 5 years. His most recent contributions are on our 1450 Owens project where he has continually sets himself apart as a safety leader due to his hard work and dedication to completing tasks with a safety-first mindset. Despite his many years in the field, he remains open to learning and growing as he incorporates our safety guidelines and influences the teams around him to do the same. Here at PNA, we strive for excellence in safety for every person who steps onto our project sites, or into one of our facilities and we have created this award to incentivize and reward employees who make safety a top priority. The effects of setting and achieving high safety standards at work manifest in many aspects of maintaining the top performance and execution we strive for in our organization. These safety elements influence and touch multiple facets of employee life - from returning home physically safe after working in one of manufacturing facilities, handling thousand pound glass panels, or from atop one of our skyscraper project sites - to more intangible aspects, like being empowered to think innovatively and bring ideas to the forefront to influence change and continuous improvement. Congratulations and many thanks to Henry (pictured below with members from our site team) for all of his efforts and contributions to the safety focused culture in our organization.

  • We are excited to announce our October 2023 (PNA Safety Incentive Program) Safety Person of the Month, Gabriel Charbonneau! Gabriel has been with PNA/BTM for 7 years. He started his career with us as a glass handler on the assembly line and has worked his way up to now working as a team lead in his department. Recognized by his peers as an exemplary model of health and safety compliance, he intervenes when he spots a potentially dangerous situation and works quickly to ensure the safety rules are utilized in order to solve the issues. In addition to maintaining high safety standards during his everyday work, Gabriel is also a member of the Health & Safety Committee up in our BTM facility. He uses the committee time to take his knowledge from the shop floor to bring new insights to the conversations. He remains committed to bringing ideas and finding solutions that can make our work procedures even safer and then helps engrain the importance of a safety culture out to his team and others who work alongside him. Thank you Gabriel for your commitment to making everyone's work environment safer! #SafetyAtPNA

  • We are excited to announce our December 2023 (PNA Safety Incentive Program) Safety Person of the Month, Ray Cole! Ray is currently an Ironworker out of Local 7 and while he only joined PNA last year, he has over 17 years in his trade. Even though many of these years have been spent in the reinforcing/rebar area, within just a few short weeks within our organization, Ray became one of our lead guys on-site and has transferred his skills as he now leads as foreman of his own crew at our L5 Seaport Project. This shift into a leadership role is partially attributed to his easily perceivable, natural born leadership abilities. These leadership traits, coupled with his hard work and dedication to safety, have set him apart and enable him to continue to shine and lead our team on-site. Despite his tenure as an Ironworker, he remains eager to learn curtain wall and is always asking questions and studying drawings and details to be able to retain and share the information to his team and others around him. Safety is a main focus within our organization and we are constantly encouraging our leaders, at every level, to incorporate safety, not as a mere checklist or compliance task but as a lense that shapes our mindsets and how we view each situation that comes our way and even to how we offer ideas and solutions. This attention to safety has been a big part of our success in the Boston market. The North East Region of our operations has had zero recordable incidents over the past 3 calendar years ('21, '22, '23) while executing A-Typical / Jumbo facade panels. This speaks to our approach and culture of safety first and recognizing Ray is a great way to highlight this achievement as we enter 2024. Focusing on safety touches so many aspects of running a successful project, from quality, to precision in execution to feeling proud of your efforts and the company you work for every day. Our goal is to have everyone who comes to work at/with PNA go home safely to their families and to constantly put our individual and collective "best foot forward" as we navigate the complex work that we have become known for. We hope that Ray is with our organization for many years to come and we look forward to seeing his leadership abilities further instilled in our Boston based teams! Thank you for your commitment to our safety culture here at PNA! #SafetyAtPNA
