All drains lead to the river! With that in mind, we have kicked off a project in St. Louis, MO studying the litter found within stormwater drains throughout the city. In partnership with Mississippi River Cities & Towns Initiative, our team samples from 22 inlet sites every month. These samples help to determine which drains are receiving the most litter, so we can determine if there are devices that can be used to stop the litter - like our Litter Interceptors!! - - #environment #nature #sustainability #ecofriendly #savetheplanet #sustainable #boats #zerowaste #gogreen #recycle #plasticfree #sustainableliving #environmentallyfriendly #pollution #recycling

Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes and Osprey is lucky enough to now be on two of them! Expanding on our success at Lake Hiawatha last year, we have installed a litter boom on the Lake of the Isles. This beautiful 100-acre lake is well-loved by the East Isles Neighborhood. Over 70 people attended the installation and kickoff. This project was made possible with funding from River Network, City of Minneapolis, Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board, and Freshwater!

Hello Kansas! Osprey has added another state to our list! In collaboration with Kansas Alliance for Wetlands and Streams and Wichita State University, we installed a boom in the Chisolm Creek watershed last week. Located at the Great Plains Nature Center, this will be an excellent site for community engagement and education!
