#NELF advocates for a civil society based on rule of law. Just as we condemned the January 6 attack on the Capitol, we unequivocally condemn the attack against former President Donald Trump. It was a horrific act of violence that goes against everything we stand for as a country. Violence has no place in our political process. Period. We are grateful that former President Trump is safe. We are thankful for the swift and selfless action by the Secret Service. Our hearts are with President Trump and his family. We also grieve for the other victims of the attack and our hearts are with them and their loved ones.

About us
The New England Legal Foundation's mission is to promote public discourse on the proper role of free enterprise in our society and to advance free enterprise principles in the courtroom. Since its founding in 1977, NELF has challenged intrusions by governments and special interest groups which would interfere with the economic freedoms of citizens and business enterprises in New England and the nation. Our ongoing mission is to champion individual economic liberties, traditional property rights, properly limited government, and balanced economic growth throughout our six state region. As a nonprofit public interest law firm, the foundation does not charge attorney’s fees for its legal services. Its operating funds are provided through tax-deductible contributions made by individuals, businesses, law firms, and private charitable foundations who believe in NELF’s mission.

The New England Legal Foundation was founded nearly 50 years ago by a group of corporate #GeneralCounsels and law firm #ManagingPartners to ensure that the perspective of #FreeEnterprise, #PropertyRights, #LimitedGovernment based on #RuleOfLaw, and #InclusiveGrowth was considered by state and federal judges as they created precedent that would apply to the business community for decades. We continue that tradition of in-house and law firm leadership with our newest members elected to our Board. Congratuations to Bill Cahill, Hanok George, Esq. ("George"), David Heaton, Jimmy S. Pappas, Donald Pinto, and Danielle Sheer on your unanimous election to our Board!

Sixty years ago today, on July 2, 1964, President Lyndon Johnson signed the bipartisan Civil Rights Act into law. We stand shoulder to shoulder with all persons who work for an #InclusiveEconomy where all Americans can benefit from the opportunity, hope, pride and purpose that is possible with #FreeEnterprise and #EconomicLiberty. www.equalizerinstitute.org

We are working to launch #NELF's "Equalizer Institute" to create free corporate legal clinics to help underserved #entrepreneurs start and grow their new businesses. We are guided in this effort by accomplished individuals from the business, legal, and non-profit sectors. We'll start in Boston but we're building a national model that can be replicated in any city in the U.S. where people thirst for opportunity and a fair shot at the #AmericanDream. Today, we are thrilled to announce that Dr. Bernice A. King has agreed to serve as Honorary Chair of our advisors. https://lnkd.in/gApXeTvr #FreeEnterprise #Jobs #InclusiveGrowth #EconomicJustice

We are happy to welcome Chenelle Brown to the New England Legal Foundation as Project Director for the Virtual Law Office. The #VLO will be an AI-powered central command platform for us to operate the #EqualizerInstitute free corporate legal clinics to help underserved entrepreneurs start and grow their new businesses with the help of our staff counsel, pro bono counsel, and law student interns. Stay tuned for more exciting updates on the #EI economic justice initiative. #FreeEnterprise #InclusiveGrowth
