Drafting contracts? Negotiating deals? Researching case law? Writing memos? An LL.M. degree from the U.S. is often seen as a gateway to career advancement back home. And makes you part of the go-to group on cross-border legal issues and working with multinational clients. I think prospective students should pay careful attention to the role of legal English within their law programs and what new skills they depart their programs with that will help with career advancement, bar exam success, and so much more. Many thanks to two legal English experts for sharing such great insights and information with me for my June piece in The National Jurist. Rebecca P. (BU Law) and Stephen Horowitz (Georgetown Law) feature heavily in this piece!
