So happy we can make this public. Anne Brennan is joining our senior leadership team as Senior Managing Editor for Boston at MassLive. The longtime Boston resident comes to us from the Cape Cod Times, where she has been the Executive Editor since 2020. Anne is an outstanding leader and journalist. Having gotten to know her well over the past few months, I can't imagine a more ideal fit for MassLive for this role, and I couldn't be more thrilled to work with her on our senior leadership team. Anne joining us as our Boston news leader is another big moment here as MassLive continues to invest in its statewide expansion strategy. It's a great day for MassLive! https://lnkd.in/epwM8huu

A months-long MassLive investigation shows millions of dollars in both public and nonprofit money was spent on the battle between the two institutions just as the hospital system considers cuts.
Legal experts familiar with the firms said if the hospital system is billed equivalent hours as the medical school in the dispute, it has likely also spent $7 million or more, which could possibly bring the total legal expenditures for the two institutions to about $14 million.

MassLive announced Reinaldo “Ronnie” Ramos as the new vice president of content on Wednesday, an editorial leader with experience transitioning print operations into digitally-focused online platforms. According to Comscore, MassLive’s 5 million monthly unique visitors ranks as the leading site in New England. “The important thing to remember is that, at the end of the day, good journalism is well-read in this digital age,” Ramos said. “The important thing from a journalism perspective is to have unique content you can’t get anywhere else and drive readership and audience … The challenge is to find those great stories, tell them and figure out the best way to get them in front of as many people as possible.”
