Why is spatial content becoming more prevalent? As we venture deeper into the world of spatial content, we need to take a step back and ask: Why? Why is 3D content rapidly gaining traction, and what's driving this digital revolution? Well, we can think of a few reasons: 👉 Technological advancements are rapidly lowering barriers to entry 👉 Practical uses are expanding across a vast range of industries 👉 New content creation tools are empowering creators to push their own boundaries ... and more! Unlike the shift from black-and-white to color television, the adoption of spatial content is spreading fast. We cover it all in our latest blog! So, get caught up at the link below ⬇️

**#VRTO2024** ✨✨ VRTO - Virtual Reality, Toronto 2024 spatial media world conference hosted at OCAD University, turned out to be an incredible experience for me, with innovative tech showcases and inspiring sessions from industry leaders. The two-day event featured innovative exhibits of : - CHLAVM: A museum experience on Cultural Heritage Preservation. - Durham College with MRC Studio: Architectural spaces in VR developed with 3D scanned ,retopologized and baked textures models. - AGO BRISTOL 1775: From Warship to Prison Hulk with Priam GIVORD Studio: Photogrammetry scans of ship models, allowing virtual navigation akin to an ocean voyage. - Orion Digital Inc. with Conestoga College VARlab's VR game Stories from the Desert Sky: It was a unique learning VR game experience. - Looking Glass with Leap Motion Interaction by James Gleeson: Showcased a range of 3D scanned and personal 3D modeled projects by James - Tilt Augmented Reality Gaming System showcased by Stephanie Greenall: A bucket-list experience checked off. - New Hand Gear for Oculus Quest 3 by BSDXR : An open-source project, that gives the Star Wars Lightsaber feel, was the most innovative tech in the exhibition. - IoT VR Smart Home Assistant by Wentian Zhu (OCAD): This was a standout project for me mainly cause of the research put and its seamless execution . Key Learnings from some Memorable Interactions: 1. DAVE CARDWELL, Head of 3D & Immersive Labs at Adobe: Emphasized the importance of ongoing skill development despite advancements in AI, AR, and VR. Deep knowledge is vital for solving complex challenges. 2. Heather Dunaway Smith , Immersive Artist: Highlighted “edit, edit, edit” to stress continuous improvement and persistent effort for better results. 3. Debbie Deer with Orion Digital Inc. : Encouraged taking baby steps, stepping out of comfort zones, and leveraging unique traits to innovate. 4. Wentian Zhu Wentian from OCAD University: Stressed thorough research to find the best solutions, exemplified by their IoT VR smart home assistant project. 5. Keram Malicki-Sanchez, Executive Director @ VRTO : I got to learn from him that gratitude and humility towards your work and the people you work with are key to unlocking opportunities and inspiring others. I had a great time volunteering and meeting amazing people like Angela Y., Meiqi C. and more.. Thank you so much Aimee Reynolds for this opportunity. Looking forward to applying the insights gained and staying connected with everyone I met ! 🙆♀️ #Worldconference #tech #innovation #VR #AR #IOT #XR #virtualreality #Artifcialintelligence #ai #augmentedreality
