For almost four years, Tanya has scouted talent nationwide and offered more than 200 Team Members a home at Life Time. As we celebrate and recognize July as Disability Pride Month, Tanya has a personal connection to this cause. Discovering top instructors and personal trainers is a job she loves, giving her the chance to welcome others to the place where her own family has found community and friendship. Tanya’s daughter Gabi has Down Syndrome, and as an advocate for children with disabilities and their caregivers, Tanya understands the importance of inclusive spaces at Life Time and beyond. “Having anybody that has a disability be included — it's special — but it's also something that I don't think Life Time thinks twice about. I love that they're not making an exception, but they're making it the rule.” —Tanya Hendrickson, Talent Scout for Life Time

We recently partnered with the Pantone Color Institute to infuse energy into our new, unique color system. From the wake-up call of dawn to the serenity and tranquility of dusk, a natural gradient color system helps us move through life. This customized Life Time palette uses the language of color to guide our members’ experiences both inside and outside our clubs – from classes to products to our complimentary digital app.

"Over 30 years ago, Life Time started as a vision, imagined as a place that would encompass all aspects of health, including physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. We envisioned it as a third space where people could spend time on their own, as well as connect with others in the community." In his Perspectives column for the July/August issue of Experience Life magazine, Life Time Founder, Chairman and CEO Bahram Akradi reflects on starting Life Time more than three decades ago and how Life Time is continuing to grow its impact, both with its clubs and with the Life Time app.

July marks our 32nd birthday! The vision of Life Time, created by our Founder, Chairman and CEO Bahram Akradi goes back well over 30 years but became reality on July 15, 1992. He says, “I imagined it as a place that would encompass all aspects of health, including physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. We envisioned it as a third space where people could spend time on their own, as well as connect with others in the community." 32 years, 180+ clubs across 31 states and one province in Canada and millions of members later, Bahram’s vision – brought to life by more than 39,000 of the best Team Members – is looking pretty good! If you’ve ever wondered about our history, take a look.

“Rethink, reimagine and adapt” are three words our fearless founder Bahram Akradi uses to describe how Life Time has evolved over the years. As we approach our 32nd birthday, it’s the perfect time to roll out this video interview with him from our recent Life Time Sea Otter Classic. Hearing his perspective on that and how living a healthy way of life is good for all businesses and relationships is worth the watch. Today we revealed one of our most anticipated openings yet – Life Time Harbour Island in Tampa and we couldn’t be more excited to become a part of the community. Tampa Mayor Jane Castor shared her thoughts on our arrival too, noting, “Life Time’s arrival in Harbour Island promises an entirely new health and wellness experience for our entire Tampa community. Their investment not only creates new jobs but also infuses vibrancy into the area, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to healthy living for all ages.” Take a look at this stunner of a space!

Spending time in nature is necessary for a healthy, happy life. Unfortunately, not everyone has equal access to the natural world. The Life Time Foundation and our team members, in partnership with SUGi and community volunteers, planted a pocket forest in Minneapolis in June, providing critical green space. This densely-packed forest of more than 1,400 trees and plants will be a space of healing, reflection, and connection for the community. Watch the video below for a behind-the-scenes look at the tree planting.

Life Time is front and center in this week's must-read "Square Feet" column in The New York Times. Writer Megan Willett-Wei explored our new PENN 1 club and spoke with our visionary Founder, Chairman and CEO Bahram Akradi about our growth in the commercial real estate sector and becoming a highlight for many developments. The column notes that "high-end gyms, many of which used to be an amenity are now the star attraction..." This is on full display at Vornado Realty Trust's PENN DISTRICT, among other places across the country. https://lnkd.in/gRiZ6Qm3

Helping people live healthier, happier lives happens in many ways. One way is by sharing info on great local news channels like WCCO | CBS News Minnesota. This week, Jamie Martin Editor-in-Chief of Experience Life magazine talked with Heather Brown and A.J. Hilton about the importance of feeding the 600+ muscles that are hard at work in our bodies every day. Getting the right nutrients—both from wholesome, nutritious foods and high-quality supplements—are key. (Interested in the magazine? You can find it at experiencelifemag.com and on select newsstands.) https://lnkd.in/g8jbKN2F

We were elated to read Baz Dreisinger's recent perspective on Life Time and her Q &A with our own Mark Huckaby. In her words: "I am convinced that Life Time is taking over the world. I’d paid little mind to the self-described “wellness pioneer reshaping the way consumers approach their health by integrating where we move, work and live—digitally and physically”—until I stayed in one of their Life Time Living properties in Florida (Life Time Coral Gables) a few years ago and wrote about it here. Now I see Life Time everywhere, especially in my home town of New York City, where they just opened their ninth location, near Penn Station: a gleaming oasis of all things healthy, fit and well in the pinnacle of urban grit." It's a great read you can find here: https://lnkd.in/g65mXJdE
