Here are our key takeaways: 1. High molecular weight biologics (many of them #antibodies) are unaffordable in a large proportion of countries studied. 2. When biosimilars enter the market the price decreases and patient access increases. 3. The price of biotherapeutics is particularly high in the USA. 4. The gap in affordability between the highest and lowest income countries is expected to increase. 5. The harmonization of regulatory pathways needs strengthening in LMICs.
