Iowa’s law banning most abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy took effect Monday morning at 8 a.m. following an Iowa Supreme Court decision in June that found the law to be constitutional. Here's what to know:

An Iowa law that bans abortion as early as six weeks of pregnancy will go into effect Monday, July 29, at 8 a.m. On Tuesday, a district court judge filed a motion to dissolve the temporary injunction after the Iowa Supreme Court denied abortion providers’ request reconsider its decision to uphold a law.
