Healthworx Studio, a Baltimore, MD-based innovation and investment arm of CareFirst, Inc., that serves as an educational engine for scaling early-stage startups, announced Highmark Inc. and LifeBridge Health as its partners for the next cohort of Healthworx Accelerator, an accelerator program for healthcare startups seeking funding and mentorship. Through these partnerships, Healthworx Accelerator will leverage a diverse network of healthcare experts to provide an insider’s perspective and education for early-stage healthcare companies.  In 12 weeks, cohort companies will engage with a focused curriculum to streamline the education, mentorship, and networking necessary to increase growth and impact in a competitive healthcare market.  Applications for Healthworx Accelerator will close in two weeks on August 6, 2024. To apply or learn more, visit: https://lnkd.in/gbaXSjVC

We had 5,504 people participate in the Highmark Walk for a Health Community across multiple states, raising $832,600! The walks are just one of the ways our Highmark Bright Blue Futures program helps support the communities we serve. Thank you everyone who participated.

A grant made possible through the Highmark Bright Blue Futures program helped the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation open 100 more slots for mental and behavioral health services. We're proud to have helped further their impact in the community.

The country’s maternal health crisis goes far beyond the delivery room. New data shows that dangerous, unexpected birth complications often emerge weeks after the mother and baby leave the hospital, with Black patients experiencing these events at a rate 87% higher than white patients.
